Beautiful original royal doulton hand-decorated vase dating from 1949. The base carries the original royal doulton mark together with:

8025a — vase shape
D6276 — wistaria/wisteria decoration
22 — 1949 date code

The vase has the distinctive 8025a bulbous/trumpet form, with a rounded body, narrow waist and dramatically flared rim.

The hand-painted decoration features:

Peach/apricot mottled ground
Turquoise/green mottling
Purple and blue flowers
Green foliage
Bright green painted rim

The d6276 decoration is documented as wistaria/wisteria in royal doulton’s magnella mottled range.

The 8025a shape is also independently documented as a royal doulton vase form.

Condition
Extensive age-related crazing to the glaze, as clearly visible in the photographs, together with some age-related marking around the base.

I have photographed the vase from multiple angles so that the condition and decoration can be properly assessed.
