Up for sale is a beautiful, vintage Chinese Yixing Zisha (Purple Clay) executive-style lidded tea mug. Crafted from unglazed, porous purple sand clay (Zini), this traditional mug naturally absorbs tea oils over time to enhance flavors and develop a rich, lustrous patina.

The front features a prominent, hand-carved calligraphic inscription reading “金砂” (Jin Sha / Golden Sand), celebrating the fine, shimmering mineral texture inherent to premium Yixing clay.

The lid is crowned with a beautifully detailed, hand-sculpted Pixiu (Foo Lion) finial, a mythical guardian symbol traditional in Chinese culture for attracting wealth and guarding good fortune.
