Portmeirion Black/Gold Canister 1960's-1970's
This Portmeirion lidded canister with the green ovel backstamp from the 1960's &1970's. The matte black body paired with bright gold lustre bands is highly characteristic of legendary designer Susan Williams-Ellis's early1960's work. Itexactly matches the body style of her "Greek Key" & "" Gold Sun" collections which utilised a premium matte black finish with 22caret gold bands. Measures 13cm tall to top of base and a further 7cm add with the lid on the diameter at the base is about 10cm. It is in excellent undamaged perfect condition, no chips scratches or damage whatsoever. A really good example of a piece from this era.
