Pair of Late Victorian Collectors Cabbage Plates
Antique Majolica Plate with gorgeous overlapping grape leaves lying in a basket woven around the edge. A typical rich emerald green colouring typical of majolica wares. These plates date back to the 1870s and this one is in excellent condition for its age.
This plate is not stamped but is very similar to Basketweave Salad Plates produced around the same time by CE Malkin Potteries.

This stylish Kensington Ware Art Deco oval majolica leaf dish has hand painted flowers in pink and blue and is a very stylish piece. Perfect for summer dining al fresco or purely decorative, this is a wonderful quality dish.
Dimensions: height 3.5cm, length 26cm, width 24cm. Kensington Maker's mark on base with KPB. Three little chips on the underside of rim and two little scuffs of the glaze but not so visible.
Great pair of “cabbage leaf” late Victorian collectable plates or dishes!
