For sale is a large and unusual Carlton China crested porcelain shell made by Wiltshaw & Robinson Ltd of Stoke-on-Trent. This piece is almost 4" in height and features the Newport Mon (Wales) municipal coat-of-arms.

DESCRIPTION:
Size: about 3 7/8" height x 3" width (98mm x 76mm).
Material(s): 'ivory' porcelain with clear vitreous glaze.
Finish: polychrome transfer print.
Imprint: W & R STOKE ON TRENT CARLTON CHINA
Weight (excluding transit packaging): about 74.8g
Approximate age: 1910's to 1930's.

CONDITION:
Very good condition. No damage. Some wear to gilt band around the lip.
