For sale are two vintage tourist/souvenir egg cups made by Carrigaline Pottery of County Cork, Ireland. Same type of egg cups but with two different place names: MULLINGAR and LIMERICK. Carrigaline Pottry were a major producer of souvenir and ornamental wares sold to visitors and tourists.

The Carrigaline Pottery Company Ltd was a prolific producer of utility tableware (Carrigware) and tourist souvenirs from 1928 until 1980, when the company was sold on. From 1980 to 1983 they were renamed as the Cork Art Pottery and from 1983 as the Carrigdhoun Co-Operative Society, which closed and ceased production in 2003.

DESCRIPTION:
Size: about 1 3/4" high x 1 7/8" width across the opening rim (45mm x 47mm).
Finish: screen printed in 1 colour over the glaze with shamrocks highlighted in hand-applied black. Placename overprinted in black. A gold coloured trim applied around the rim.
Material(s): white earthenware.
Imprint: CARRIGALINE POTTERY CO LTD CORK IRELAND
Approximate age: 1960s to 1970s.

CONDITION:
Very good and clean condition. No damage. There is wear to the gold coloured trim around the rim of each.
