Michele Hannan Sculptural Studio Pottery Vase

Contemporary organic shaped sculptural vase with volcanic glaze. This vase is handmade from stoneware clay, the outside of the vase has beautiful copper greens, greys, stoney coloured textured surfaces which are created during the firing process. The inside is glazed with a semi matt black glaze.
Michele’s work primarily deals with form, space, and colour. Her shapes draw their inspiration from water, the sea and the simple forms found in nature, capturing the fluidity and simplicity of these influences in her work. Using traditional methods of working with clay, such as hand building and mould making, paring back each piece to its essential form!
