I’m still working on downsizing my collectables, and have moved onto some more Willow Pattern and Blue and White Items that are surplus to my collections.

For sale here, is a Lovely True Vintage, Almost Antique Octagonal Willow Pattern Teapot by Royal Doulton, Circa 1930, Small Chip under the Spout.

I do love my willow pattern items, but I can’t keep it all, so I am downsizing some more of my collection, buy it quick before I change my mind!!

This is a lovely almost antique (circa 1930) Squat octagonal teapot in a fantastic deep blue colour, almost “flow blue” which nods to the age of the piece. The willow pattern is a nice intricate example, and there is a nice balance of white and blue.
At first glance, the Teapot may look to be a squat round shape, but upon closer inspection you will see that it is in a subtle octagonal shape, with a fabulous square handle with Greek Key design.
The base has the standard Royal Doulton backstamp, with the addition of Made in England, which dates the piece to 1930+. The Art Deco style of the teapot would also date it to circa 1930.

The Teapot is in very good condition, considering its almost 100 years old, but it does have one small chip as photographed. Its on the underside of the spout and is not visible from the top, only when viewed at an angle. It also doesn’t affect the pouring of tea, but has been taken not account when pricing.

The Teapot stands just under 5 inches/ 12.5cm tall and measures 9 inches/23 cm from spout to handle. The capacity is 1 litre/1.75 pints.

I have photographed it with a teapot stand, which I will be also selling, it’s not a brand match but the colour and type of Willow Pattern are very similar, so they work well together.

Would be a fabulous addition to a Blue and White or Willow Pattern Collection, as this teapot is rare enough items to find. I cannot find another example for sale online at this time.

Perfect for use as a display item in a home or café setting. Would be lovely to use as part of a mix and match willow pattern teaset for a special afternoon tea.

Happy to do a deal if also wishing to purchase the Teapot Stand in the photographs, which has already been listed.
