Lovely Pair of Tall Vintage Powell Craft Candlesticks in Excellent Condition, in the Very Popular but Discontinued Pattern, The Cuddra Collection, Rare Items

I am continuing my effort to downsize, as I unfortunately have to replace the engine in the family car! I'm making progress but more items need to go!

I have quite the selection of individual decorative Blue and White and Willow Pattern items which I have collected over the years and had on display in my kitchen dresser and mantlepiece. I have two pairs of candlesticks, which are no longer displayed on the mantlepiece, so it’s better to let them go than to have them in storage. ( the second pair, which make a guest appearance in some of the photos, are already up for sale too!)

A really fabulous and decorative pair of candlesticks in the beautiful “Cuddra Collection” pattern by Powell Craft. The pattern is a pretty vintage Blue and White Style featuring roses, florals, swags and scrolls. The base porcelain is actually a dark cream in colour, so not so much Blue and White as Blue & Cream! This popular pattern is no longer available from Powell Craft.

The makers, Powell Craft, is a family run business established in 1962. They specialise in vintage inspired homewares, children and ladies daywear and nightwear.

I bought these candlesticks together (as a pair) from a bric a brac store, but in fact, one is slightly taller than the other. They may have originally been part of two separate pairs, and then put together when breakages occurred. Or maybe they were purchased as single candlesticks and then paired up!

The pair are in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or pattern loss. One stands 7.25 inches/ 18.5cm tall and the other ones stands 7.5 inches/19 cm tall. They take a standard taper candle.

Would be fabulous when mixed and matched with other Blue and White Ware to make up a dinner service for a special meal. Fabulous also, as part of a mantlepiece display – wish I had taken a photo of display before I took it down!
