Japanese Gen-emon Arita Porcelain Tea Caddy Original Box

Beautiful Japanese Arita porcelain tea caddy by the renowned Gen-emon Kiln, Arita, Japan.

Hand decorated in a red/orange ground with traditional floral medallion decoration in blue, green and white. Height: 10cm, Width: 8cm, Opening: 3.5cm.

The caddy has a porcelain outer lid together with a fitted metal inner lid and metal-lined neck, designed for storing tea.

Complete with its original signed wooden presentation box, outer wooden case, ties and original Japanese Gen-emon/Arita literature.
Gen-emon Kiln is one of Arita's established porcelain makers, with a history dating to the 18th century and a tradition of hand-painted porcelain.
