Huge Italian Deruta G Cassetta Ceramic Bottle Signed H 36 cms

A beautiful vintage Italian Deruta ceramic bottle, signed by maker G Cassetta, Umbre (Umbria). I believe this bottle to be pre 1944 as G Cassetta was based in Umbria before moving to set up his own production company in 1944 on the Amalfi coast. He worked alongside well known artists such as Giovannino Carrano, the brothers Vincenzo and Salvatore Procida, Guido Gambone, Gio Ponti and others. A stunning piece, colourfully decorated with a scene from a doctors surgery whereby the doctor is attending to a boy with a problematic arm. Beautifully coloured cream glazed backround with decor to front and back, this bottle is in excellent condition and would make a wonerful vase or decorative accessory to an Italian style decor setting.
