While the historical roots of the Caldas da Rainha ceramic style date back to the 1880s, the bulk of vintage Olfaire production generally spans from the mid-to-late 20th century (the 1960s to 1980s). Authentic pieces usually feature an impressed or stamped "Olfaire Made in Portugal" mark on the bottom, frequently accompanied by a mould inventory number!
