German Carnival Glass Dish
This Carnival Glass was manufactured in a German Brockwitz factory which was established in 1903 in a town near Dresden. It did a large range of carnival glass from circa 1915. It is thought that this piece dates from around 1935. The pattern is called curved star cathedral with headdress interior. The inner circle of the glass is clear as distinct from the orange glass, as can be seen in the photos. if this glass isn't looked after, over the years the piece tarnishes and looses its lustre. otherwise this is a very clean example and has a brilliant lustre and in excellent vintage condition. I can see no flaws I have a similar bowl up at the moment it is basically the same size but with a ruffled edge.
