Forrester (Bandon)pottery: salt container

Forrester (Bandon)pottery: salt container Forrester (Bandon)pottery: salt container Ceramics

This is an unusual pottery piece, made by the renowned West Cork potter Forrester (I think it's Robin Forrester but I am not sure. In any case the Forresters were leading figures in the artisan pottery movement in the 1970s & continue to this day. See Irish Times article, 12/09). This is a dark brown/slightly green pottery funnel. Is apparently for storing salt.. Has a kind of nautical feel to it (ship's fog horn?!)

It's beautifully made and in pristine condition. Prob dates from 1970s. Highly collectible
Collection from S. Dublin or can be collected from East Cork with notice
