Famille Rose Medalion Ginger Jar
Beautiful Chinese Rose Medallion Porcelain Ginger Jar with Four images two of a Chinese family playing Mahjong and two of roses. Beautifully hand painted and Superb colours and condition, with no cracks or chips and it still has it’s lid.
Rose Medallion was made from the 1850s for the European market and is now a global favourite. The marks are from the Qian Long period but such marks can be questionable. I have seen the same piece on line dated between 1940 and 1970 all I can say is it does have some age and that the floral patterns are simply beautiful. The gold is excellent it is slightly matt but does shine when the light shines on it. This is a lovely piece
