A possible impending house move has forced me into evaluating all the contents of my attic and some items will have to go, in my effort to downsize. I'm making progress but more items need to go!

I have quite the selection of sets of decorative plates and dishes which I have collected over the years and used for buffets and afternoon teas, but I have too many for my needs so these can go!

I have a part dinner service in this pattern that I am splitting up for sale, so keep an eye out on my upcoming ads........of course, if you are interested in all the items please let me know your offer!

For sale here is a Fabulous Vintage (Possibly Antique) Imari Patterned Medium 12” Serving Platter by Johnson Bros in the “Pareek” style and the "Rutland" Pattern, circa 1913-1928.

This is a really fabulous Imari style pattern in rust, orange and cobalt blue with hand-painted gilt elements. The pattern is very similar to the centre section of the Royal Crown Derby “Traditional Imari” Pattern 2451. This Johnson Bros set would have appealed to people as a cheaper and more hardwearing alternative to the Royal Crown Derby set, being that it is made in semi-porcelain/ ironstone, with less gilt accents. It still would have been a very expensive set to own, when purchased between circa 1913-1928.

This serving platter is the mid-sized of the three platters I have for sale and measures 12 inches/30 cm by 10 inches/25.5cm.
It is in good vintage (possibly antique) condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. There is some pattern loss from use, and some gilt loss to the edges in parts. Considering the age of the piece, and that this was a set that has been used, it’s looking well for approximately 100 years old!

This set is a very rare pattern with not many examples for sale, and those examples that are for sale are not cheap! Even Replacements.com only has two pieces!!
I have priced these very reasonably considering the above, so will not be accepting any low-ball offers!

Perfect for coffee mornings, afternoon teas and wedding buffets where the serving platter can be used to serve fancy sandwiches.

Perfect also if you are building a mixed patterned Imari dinner service, as this would work well with other Imari style ware.
Perfect also for display on a kitchen dresser or wall.
I have three platters for sale in this pattern, of which this is the mid-sized one, see the photos, so keep an eye out for my upcoming ads.
I also have other items in this pattern including various size plates and a lidded vegetable serving dish, see the last few photos, and my upcoming ads.

Check out my other ads and more coming soon! Discounts possible for multiple purchases!
