Fabulous Vintage Collectable Royal Albert Bone China Teaset for Four in the Stunning Pattern, Heirloom, Imari Style in Indigo Blue, Rust and Gilt, Mint/ Cabinet Condition Fabulous Vintage Collectable Royal Albert Bone China Teaset for Four in the Stunning Pattern, Heirloom, Imari Style in Indigo Blue, Rust and Gilt, Mint/ Cabinet Condition Ceramics

I am continuing my effort to downsize, and I have a few more teasets left to list! This is a reluctant sale, but I am trying to reduce the number of Royal Albert Patterns I am collecting, and I am focusing on the earlier Art Deco period patterns, as I have to downsize following a house move.

For sale here is a Fabulous Vintage Collectable Royal Albert Bone China Teaset for Four in the Stunning Pattern, “Heirloom”, Imari Style in Indigo Blue, Rust and Gilt, Mint/Cabinet Condition

What a beautiful pattern this is, in the Imari style, reminiscent of an earlier age. It’s in a stunning deep indigo glaze on bone white, with rust transfer-printing and hand painted elements, and highly decorative and intricate hand-gilding as part of the pattern and on all edges. It was hard to photograph the colour, so although it may look black, the dark colour is actually a deep Indigo Blue.

The Heirloom pattern, was produced from the 1920’s onwards and this version dates to the mid-century, 1950-1970’s The pattern was copywrited in 1979, and the backstamp changed, so this set definitely dates to before that.

Royal Albert are one of the most highly praised and collectable firms of china manufacturers, and although they are most known for their “Old Country Roses” pattern, they in fact have many, many, more stunning patterns in their back catalogue, of which this is one of my favourites.

The history of Royal Albert stretches back over 100 years. While the Royal Albert brand was created in 1904, its roots are found in the Albert Works, built in 1896. The Albert Works commemorated the birth of Prince Albert in 1895, who was named in memory of his great-grandfather, the most famous of Victorian Alberts.
The Albert Works was owned by Thomas Wild and his sons who specialised in tea, breakfast and dessert pieces with floral designs. They built up a fabulous reputation of producing beautiful china tea & breakfast sets and firmly established the Royal Albert name.
English fine bone china was always admired for its lightness, translucency and its soft subtle almost pearly white quality. Much approved of by the tea-party hostesses of the nineteenth and early twentieth century.

This pattern commands a very high price online, due to it’s popularity as a pattern, and the intricate nature of the complex design.
Full (and even incomplete) teasets can make upwards of €500 and individual duos are listed on Replacements.com for €59.99 plus post, packing and customs. See the last couple of photos for examples.
So this part set for four is great value, and I won’t be considering any low ball offers.

For sale here, is a Teaset for Four including the following 15 items:
Four Cups, (Avon Shape)
Four Saucers
Four Side Plates
Milk Creamer
Open Sugar Bowl
Large Cake Display Plate.

All fifteen items are in excellent/mint vintage condition with no chips, cracks or crazing, no pattern loss or gilt loss, these pieces have spent their life in a cabinet!

Perfect for the collector of Fine Bone China, especially someone who specialises in Royal Albert Patterns or Imari Style patterns.

Would be lovely for use for a special afternoon tea or coffee morning.
Would also be fabulous on display in a china cabinet, among other fine china.

Hello. By any chance, would you have just one saucer on its own to sell? I have partial tea set already missing one. Thank you.
