I am continuing my effort to downsize as unfortunately we will have to move all our belongings into temporary storage due to builders carrying out major remediation works to our brand new home.
I’m trying to minimize the pain by reducing the amount of packing required to be done!

For Sale here is a Fabulous Vintage 1970’s Poole Pottery Coffee Pot in the Compact Design Shape and in the Popular “Broadstone” Colourway

The History bit!: Poole Pottery “Broadstone” is one of Pool Pottery’s best known discontinued tableware ranges from the 1970’s. It was produced from 1970 on the Compact Shape Design Range, previously made famous with the Chestnut pattern, designed by Robert Jefferson in the mid 1960’s. This pattern was used across an extensive range of pieces, and was produced for a number of years.
There are two other similar patterns that are similar to and can be confused with “Broadstone”, those are “Parkstone” and “Lakestone”, which are two differing but similar colourways.

“Broadstone” had a yellowy cream background glaze heavily flecked with a dark chocolate brown speckle and a cark chocolate brown ring on the lid of the coffee pot. The bottom inch of the pot, and the finial on the lid, both have a textured ridged pattern, and the overall design shape is very sleek and simple.

Its geometric simplicity ensures it remains just as relevant in a 2026 interior as it was in a 1970's Mid-Century setting.

This coffee pot is in excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, or pattern loss.
It’s a shorter and wider shape than some coffee pots, and could certainly also be used for tea (but maybe not loose leaved tea, as it is a coffee pot, with no strainer holes on the inside of the spout)
It stands just under 8.5 inches/ 21.5 cm tall.

This has been in my possession for many years, but I am happy to let it go now as part of my downsizing.
They sell online and for between £20 and £25 stg plus shipping/customs etc.
