Fabulous Thomas Diem Contemporary Ceramics Cream and Red Large Candle Holder/Plate

A beautiful Thomas Diem Candle Holder or Plate that is a real centre-piece on a table or the fire-hearth, with the fabulous contrast between the earthy matt cream ceramic and the vibrant glassy red centre.

Thomas Diem is a second generation designer and potter. Born in NYC but living in Ireland since he was a child, his first taste of pottery came in his own father’s studio. Having completed the DCCOI Pottery Skills Course and spent time perfecting his craft, Thomas established his own studio in 1997: "At Diem pottery we believe that the objects we use have a great effect on our lives. We design and create by hand, pieces that combine traditional skills with a contemporary design edge. Our aim is to enhance people’s daily lives by creating functional yet beautiful things."

This candle holder/plate is in perfect condition, good as the day it was made and still has the label underneath. The pieces from this collection have since been dis-continued, and so harder to source.

It measures roughly 7.5 inches/ 19 cm in diameter. It stands just over 2 inches/ 5 cm tall. The aperture for the candle is just under 2 inches/5 cm in diameter. I don't have a suitably sized candle at the moment so have just photographed it with another candle from my collection!
