Fabulous Rare Set of Three Vintage Retro MCM Goblet Shaped Beer Glasses by CERA Glass in the Black and 22Carat Gold US Presidential Coin Pattern #P28 Circa 1960's
I am almost at the end of my effort to downsize following the house move, not many items left to list! But I have to clear half a cabinet of glassware, so I have some sets of glasses coming up.
For Sale here is a Fabulous Rare Set of Three Vintage Retro MCM Goblet Shaped Beer Glasses by CERA Glass in the Black and 22Carat Gold US Presidential Coin Pattern #P28 Circa 1960
The Cera Glass Company was a world-renowned glassware manufacturer in Hackensack, New Jersey that produced Mid Century Modern cocktail glasses, barware, and other specialty pieces in the 1950s and 1960s.
Their products, featuring vibrant colorful designs and intricate details for their cocktail glassware and barware, were sold in high end department stores and were the American glassware of choice for those with home cocktail bars – very Mad Men!!
This set of three retro MCM beer goblets is a rare find for any collector. The design features a black and 22kt gold coin motif, making them a unique addition to any drinkware collection.
These goblets are an original, authentic piece of mid-century modern Federal style, adding a touch of vintage charm to any home bar or dining room.
The glasses feature a pattern of six coins around each glass ranging from 1829 to 1915 and alternating from Black to 22kt gold.
This pattern was one of CERA’s most popular designs in the 1960’s and they are highly collectable today.
The pattern was produced in a wide range of glass shapes including Whiskey, Old-Fashioned, Double Old-Fashioned, Pilsner, Shot, Rocks, High-Ball, Cooler, Liquor, Roly Poly.
They make ridiculous money on 1st Dibs ($100 for one glass sometimes!), but they have none of the rarer Beer glasses available. But don’t worry, I won’t be looking for anything near 1st Dibs prices!!!
The glasses are in very good vintage condition, with no chips or cracks and only minimal rubbing to the gold or black. They stand 5.5 inches/ 14cm tall and are 3.25 inches/ 8.5cm in diameter at the top.
So very Mad Men, the epitome of Mid-Century Modern flair, these would be an ideal addition to any MCM/Retro loving home cocktail bar.
I have some other retro glassware listed and more to list, so keep an eye out for my other ads!
