Fabulous Pair of Antique Dark Blue Flow 8 Inch Plates by Gater Hall & Co. Burslem, Staffordshire, in the Templo pattern, Circa 1907-1920

I am continuing my effort to downsize as unfortunately we will have to move all our belongings into temporary storage due to builders carrying out major remediation works to our brand new home.

I still have more Blue and White Plates to downsize as I have enough for my feature wall of plates, when I finally get to do it when we eventually move back in!

For sale here is a Fabulous Pair of Antique Dark Blue Flow 8 Inch Plates by Gater Hall & Co. Burslem, Staffordshire, in the “Templo” pattern, Circa 1907-1920

These are lovely and I love them, but just can’t keep everything! I came across them when digging out some other plates for a customer, and rather than put them back in storage I can let them go.

Both salad plates are in very good antique condition for over 100 years old, with no chips or cracks or pattern loss. The glaze is a dark flow blue.

They are 8 inches in diameter. The backstamp dates them to Circa 1907-1920. The backstamp is only present on one plate, but both plates are the same and were purchased as a pair. The one without the stamp has a small hairline on the reverse but it doesn’t go through to the front.

Gater Hall & Co were an Earthenware manufacturer at Tunstall and then Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent. They operated from Burslem from 1907 to 1943. The backstamp is an early Burslem stamp from 1907+.

Selling them as a pair for €25.

They would make a lovely addition to anyone’s ceramic plate collection or as part of a blue and white display on a rustic kitchen dresser or on a feature wall of plates.
