Fabulous George Proctor & Co. Gladstone China Tea for Four Teaset in a Fabulous Art Deco Period Design with Hand Painted Elements

A possible impending house move has forced me into evaluating all my china collections and some items will have to go, in my effort to downsize. Some of this set was used for my Teacup candles but I can't keep all my stock of cups, as I have too many!

For sale here I have a Fabulous George Proctor & Co. Gladstone China Tea for Four Teaset in a Fabulous Art Deco Period Design with Hand Painted Elements

George Proctor & Co, produced Gladstone Bone China in Longton, Stoke on Trent from 1891 to 1964. The backstamps on this set date it to between 1924-1939, but due to the style of decoration and the size of the sugar bowl I think this dates to the 1920'3 rather than 30's.

The Tea for Four teaset includes the following:

Four Cups
Four Saucers
Four Side Plates
Milk Creamer
Sugar Bowl

The Teaset is in very good vintage condition, considering their great age, with no chips, cracks, pattern loss, or crazing. There is some ware to the gilt edges and gilt rings especially on the saucers, but this is to be expected for a set that has been used and is almost 100 years old.

Perfect for display in a china cabinet or on a kitchen dresser, but it would be nice to see the set used for tea also!!
