Fabulous Collection of Three Rare Vintage IKEA Hand-Blown Salong Glass Vases designed by Johanna Jelinek, Two Green Colourways, Circa 1990

I am continuing my effort to downsize, following our house move, and it seems to be never-ending! I have opened another box that was in storage, for longer than I am happy to admit, and have found these lovely vases.

I have so many vases in my collections, more than I can possibly ever display at one time. I love these pieces, but I am more about bright colours at the moment, so I can let these go.
I would keep them, except I am having to downsize as our new house is smaller! I have quite an eclectic selection of glassware and vases available already in my ads, but this collection of three pieces now have to go too.

Discover the simple vintage 'Salong' vases from IKEA, designed by Johanna Jelinek These hand-blown glass vases from the 90s impresses with their modern and timeless shape. Perfect for any interior style and real designer pieces that are now discontinued and rare enough to find as a full set of three.

A full set of one tall/narrow (lime green), one medium and one small (smokey green) vintage glass vases.

The vases are blown clear glass on the outside that case the transparent but coloured glass on the inside. This two stage process is visible with the transparent clear bases before the coloured interior starts.

These vintage vases embody IKEA's Scandinavian roots whilst also paying homage to a mid-century modern aesthetic with the rounded bulbous organic shapes.

They would look at home with other mid-century glassware and ceramics, or also equally at home in a contemporary setting.

These vases were produced in the 1990’s and then discontinued, so roughly 30 years old, but in as good a condition as when they were made, with no damage. The Ikea barcodes are still present on the two smokey green vases. The Ikea “Handmade Quality” stickers are still present on all three vases, but have been moved to the base, as the black is distracting on the glass. The pontil marks are present on all three, showing the hand-blown quality of these pieces.

All three pieces are in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or any other issues.

The Small posy vase stands 4 inches/ 10cm tall and is 5 inches/ 13cm in diameter.
The Medium vase stands 8 inches/ 20cm tall and is 5 inches/ 13cm in diameter.
The Tall/Narrow vase stands 9 inches/ 23cm tall and is 2.25 inches/ 5.5cm in diameter.

Price is for all three items as a collection, to buy them separately would end up more expensive.

These are very desirable and command a high price online, especially when the full set of three is available. (see the last two photos for online examples)

I may have more glass and ceramic vases available shortly, when I make more decisions as to how much I can keep and what I have to let go of!
