Fabulous 1950s Carrigaline Pottery Teapot with a Lovely Pink Carnation Motif with Gilt Handle, Spout and Lid Finial
A possible impending house move has forced me into evaluating all the contents of my home and some items will have to go, in my effort to downsize. I'm making progress but more items need to go! I have so many teapots and I cannot keep them all. I have a number of Carrig Ware, Carrigaline, Arklow and other Irish Teapots, (and English!) and I will only be keeping a few!
For sale here I have a Fabulous 1950’s Carrigaline Pottery Teapot with a Lovely Pink Carnation Motif with Gilt Handle, Spout and Lid Finial.
This is a retro 50’s MCM shaped teapot, with a fabulous pink carnation floral motif on the front and a single carnation bloom on the back. The handle, spout and lid finial have extensive areas of gilt contrast.
The teapot is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks, pattern loss or even any apparent crazing. The inside is very clean. The only sign of wear is some minor wear to the gilt on the handle and finial as photographed.
It is the larger size of this teapot shape (the family size!) See the last photograph to show the comparison between the two sizes.
Perfect for a special afternoon tea, with a mix and match floral theme.
I do know that Carrigaline also made a matching teaset and you could perhaps pick up matching items on Adverts to complete the set.
Perfect for a country kitchen dresser or display in a tearooms or café.
A thoughtful gift for the Carrigaline Collector and the lover of teapots.
