Chinese Cloisonne Enamel Plate
This is a Chinese Cloisonné enamel plate, a decorative art form created by filling designs outlined with metal wire with coloured enamel. Intricate metal filigree work ( cloisons) are soldered to a metal body & filled with enamel paste.This piece is a floral motif with vibrant colours, lovely pink & turquoise border with leaves & butterfly detail. This example measures 33cm diameter, in excellent condition.
