Charming Carrig Ware Cream-Earthenware Clay Teapot with An Autumnal Mixed Floral Motif - Pattern Number 1180, Circa 1930 -1950
A possible impending house move has forced me into evaluating all the contents of my home and some items will have to go, in my effort to downsize. I'm making progress but more items need to go! I have so many teapots and I cannot keep them all. I have a number of Carrig Ware, Carrigaline, Arklow and other Irish Teapots, and I will only be keeping a few!
For sale here I have a Charming Carrig Ware Cream-Earthenware Clay Teapot with An Autumnal Mixed Floral Motif - Pattern Number 1180, Circa 1930 -1950
This is a beautiful teapot, although it has a lot of age related crazing so I have only had it on display. The earthenware clay is a lovely deep cream colour and there is a beautiful large autumnal-coloured mixed floral motif on the front and back.
A lovely pot which I have had on display with my other Carrig and Irish Pots. It most likely dates to circa 1930 – 1950.
It is stamped CARRIG WARE on the base, along with the hand painted pattern number.
I purchased it with some other Carrig items from a collector.
It is in very good vintage condition considering its age, with no chips, cracks or pattern loss. There is a couple of indentations on the lid, as photographed. There is a lot of age related crazing, which adds to the character of the pot in my opinion! But then, I prefer wrinkles to botox!!
I’m selling a number of Carrig Ware teapots, please see the last couple of photos for what I have available.
Perfect for a country kitchen dresser or display in a tearooms or café.
