Ceramic
Stunning, exceptionally large antique Edwardian "Flow Blue" ironstone meat serving platter.
Produced by the renowned English pottery Ford & Sons Ltd (F & Sons) in Burslem, Staffordshire, England. The underglaze cobalt blue backstamp dates this specific piece to circa 1908, featuring their highly collectible "Belmont" floral pattern.
This is a premium, top-tier 21-inch statement piece featuring the traditional and practical "Tree and Well" drainage design. The face of the platter is molded with raised channels (the "tree") that naturally guide meat juices down into a deep collection reservoir (the "well") at one end. The underside features built-in ceramic feet to tilt the platter perfectly for carving.
