A Weighty ANTIQUE 19th century IRONSTONE POTTERY JELLY MOULD circa 1850/1860’s. In excellent antique & usable condition.
A nineteenth century ironstone heavy pottery jelly mould. A lovely deep beige polished/glazed mould with no chips or cracks.
The interior design is oval / geometric, with ten columns and a marquee style rim. It is heavily potted in ironstone and dates from c.1850/1860’s. There are two joined letters C O impressed on the base-possibly referring to COPELAND. There are some small fine threads under the glaze on the outside, small scuffing on tip,all entirely in line with age.
A 2cm rim runs under the top. It is in excellent vintage and usable condition. Nice weighty item. A hand-me-down looking for a new home. Has been stored in back of a cupboard for decades.
Raised stem/foot to easy grab or height for display
Measurements approx: 19.5 cm long 17cm wide, 10.2cm high. Stem 10x9cm
Capacity is 1.1litre with 1cm to spare at tip. Weight 1.25 kilo.
