A rare and charming 19th century Chinese ginger jar, made from solid earthenware with a classic blue-and-white hand-painted design. It features a serene coastal fishing village — but unusually also depicts a volcano erupting, a seldom-seen motif in Chinese ceramics.

The base measures approx. 10.5 cm in diameter and the body widens elegantly towards the shoulder, giving it that timeless ginger jar form. Delicate crackle glaze and fine linework reflect the craftsmanship of the period. A standout decorative or collector’s piece.

Condition: Antique, with natural glaze crackling in line with age. No chips or cracks.
