This is a vintage spherical vase by the British studio Gillies Jones; it was hand-blown in 1996, shortly after the studio was founded in 1995 by artists Stephen Gillies and Kate Jones. The vase bears a full signature and is free of chips or cracks. Dimensions: approximately 10.8 cm in diameter; weight: 329 grams. When held against the light, it reveals a deep amethyst hue. It is a remarkable early collector's piece of British art glass.
