Motif: Blue-on-white underglaze print featuring woodland flora and fauna, including a prominent deer/stag at the base surrounded by trees, squirrels, birds, and intricate foliate patterns.
Design Approach: Launched in 2005, the Table Stories line combines traditional ceramic underglaze techniques with modern digital and silhouette illustration. Studio Tord Boontje created varied animal and nature graphics (deer, birds, squirrels, rabbits, butterflies) across plates, bowls, and mugs in different monochrome colourways (such as navy blue, red, and charcoal on white porcelain).
