18-piece Vintage Palissy Ceramic Kon-Tiki Tea Set Made in England.

A fantastic example of Mid-Century Modern design, the Kon-Tiki design by Palissy has Polynesian influences inspired by Thor Heyerdahl's legendary 1947 expedition. In a very attractive period green glaze with white interiors this is a lovely set.

It dates from the early 1950s: Palissy was launched after WW2 as a standalone pottery from its parent company and was bought out by Royal Worcester in 1958, when the backstamps changed, meaning this set is from a very brief time period when the factory was at the top of its independent game.
