Vintage Beehive Pendant Ceiling Lamp by Hans-Agne Jakobsson, Sweden, 1960s.

Bring a cozy atmosphere to your dining or living room area with this stunning ceiling lamp, designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson in the 1960s. The design is replicating a beehive, with each level allowing light to protrude creating a soft glow when lit. The lamp is manufactured in aluminum which is spray-painted during manufacturing.

Hans-Agne was ahead of his time and renowned for his beautiful sculptural, timeless and functional designs he begun his career as a designer at the age of 18 in 1937, and is known for his soft glowing glare free lighting. At the start of his career he worked closely with Carl Malmsten and General Motors before setting up his own business, Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB where he was designing and manufacturing his own lighting and furniture designs.

Condition:

The lamp does show sign of age and has gold paint missing on multiple areas as highlighted in the photos. There is a small bend in the lower end of the frame.
