Sung in the style of the Irish tenor which was popular in days gone by. Gentle, lyrical voice of Donegalman Pádraig Mac Niocaill recorded in 1970 and 1975. Most tracks not previously released. Piano accompaniment by the legendary James Mac Cafferty of Derry and Leo Brennan, father of Enya and Moya (Clannad). Some of the songs feature Scottish airs such as Bheir Mí Ó, Trasna na dTonnta (Westering Home) and Triall ar Inis Thiar (to the air of the the Road to the Isles). The title track, Mo Churachín, is a most unusual and captivating version of the song Óró mo Bháidín. All lyrics in the accompanying booklet.
