Sinn U1 Watch Full Set

Sinn U1 Watch Full Set Sinn U1 Watch Full Set Casual
€1,850

44mm SINN U1 Automatic SDR

Made from high-strength, seawater-resistant German submarine steel

Water resistant to a depth of 1000m

Sinn Reference Number: 1010.040

Completely serviced by an authorized Sinn dealer on October 13 2025 at a cost of €430

The watch comes as a full set.
In addition to the watch itself, it includes the outer box, inner box, spring bar tool, booklet, and warranty card.

This is the original version with the ETA 2824-2 movement, which Sinn no longer manufactures.

In October 2025 the watch underwent a complete service at the authorized Sinn dealer F.C. Bauer in Munich at a cost of €430.

The sapphire crystal glass, mainspring, seconds wheel, escape wheel, centre wheel, jewel bearing, and automatic winding wheel were all replaced.

Mechanically, the watch is therefore, of course, perfect.

Made from tegimented hardened steel, ensuring it is highly scratch-resistant and in very good condition with only minor cosmetic wear marks.

In a timing machine test, the watch ran very well at approximately +2 seconds per day.

The watch comes with the original Sinn silicone strap and clasp suitable for wrists up to approximately 19 cm in circumference.

Wears very comfortably due to the soft strap and offset crown.

@TonyCartman
Thanks for coming back.
Not sure I agree with you on pricing.
The cheapest European U1 on both Ebay and Chrono24 seems to be 1900/2000 euro.
Feel free to make an offer for PM purposes and maybe we can find a price to suit us both.
As I said, I've got my eye on a Pelagos so need to move the U1 on.
(Not going to let it go for too low a price obviously)
As before you're welcome to look the watch over before committing to anything.
Thanks 👍

My cash offer would be lower than 1.5k, sorry to break it to you but the market is not there and you are asking too much.

@TonyCartman Hi and thanks for your interest.
I bought the watch from a watch dealer in Germany who had it serviced prior to the sale.
There was no damage or issue with the watch, the dealer had it serviced by an authorised Sinn agent prior to the sale.
I believe he has all his watches serviced before offering them for sale.
The bezel is in much better condition than it might appear in the photos, the lighting might give the impression that the edges are worn but this is not the case.
If you want to make an offer for PM purposes I'd be happy to send you on more photos or a video of the watch.
Can arrange to meet for a viewing as well if you like.
Thanks 👍

Hi, I’d definitely be interested in the U1, but I have a couple of questions about its history first.

I noticed it had quite an extensive service/restoration, with a number of parts replaced. Do you know why so much work was required? Was the watch ever damaged or involved in an accident, for example dropped or damaged while riding a motorbike?

Also, as far as I understand, the U1 SDR uses Sinn’s TEGIMENT technology on the bezel, which should make it extremely scratch-resistant. However, in some of the photos the bezel appears to have quite a few marks/scratches. Are these actually scratches, or is it just the lighting/photos?

I’m genuinely interested, I’d just like to understand the history and condition of the watch before making an offer.
