The line was originally introduced to celebrate Chopard's long-standing sponsorship of The Mille Miglia, a 1,000-mile regularity rally that travels on the public roads of Italy from Brescia to Rome and back. The event originally ran from 1927 to 1957 and was later revived as a vintage car rally in 1977.
