Ford Focus 1ltr Petrol Eco Boost. Has engine trouble, presumably the wet belt is snapped. Car does not start. Its a manual, low mileage 129,329 KM, new battery put in in May and 4 good tyres. Good for parts or if you wish to do the full engine rebuild to get it going again. I've been quoted €2400 for the rebuild which will include a 12 month warranty.

@LucasE40 There's no precise diagnosis. I had to get it towed to my house, my mechanic then had a brief look at it, tried to start it and by the noise of it ticking over and that it's an eco-boost, his experience tells him the engine is completed knackered because the wet belt is snapped. This happened 4 weeks ago. I then went to a timing belt specialist (without the car), talked to him about it and he agrees with the first mechanic but he gave me a number of a crowd who do engine rebuilds. So that quote (€2400) was over the phone.

What is the precise diagnosis? Can you share the mechanic’s written report or quote details (not just the €2400 total)?
• Does the engine turn over/crank at all, or is it completely dead (no turnover)?
• Any fault codes, compression test results, or findings about the wet timing belt / oil pump belt, low oil pressure, metal in the oil, or coolant mixing with oil?
• When did it last run properly, and what were the symptoms right before it stopped starting (warning lights, noises, power loss, overheating)?
