1996 yamaha xj600s
I bought this as a winter project a few months back and have spend a lot of time and effort on her. Unfortunately im running out of funds to throw at it so I think its time to pass it on.

It was a non runner, the carbs were fecked. Gummed up with ould evaporated petrol. The carbs have had a complete go through with all parts gone through an ultrasonic cleaner, o rings and seals replaced. The jets are all original and in good condition, one of the air mixture screws needed replacing.

The clutch disks have been replaced with new springs installed also.

New oil and oil filter

The front brake lever has had the tip broken off but still functions perfect.

The brake pads have lots of life left in them, the tyres are older and could be replaced but hold air fine. I took it for a spin with them no issue at all.

The frame has been badly painted by a previous owner and an aftermarket exhaust has been installed. Im not fond of the look but it may suit someone.

The plastics are all grand, for its age. Could do with a spray but I dont have the time or funds for that.

I have left it alone now for about 4 weeks, it started no problem when I last left it but now it took a few cranks to start. I dont have anymore to give to this so she may be moved on to someone who can appreciate it more and get it over the mark to be where it needs to be.
