Bmw R1150r
Perfect riding 1150R
Full Final Drive Inspection just done with new pinion seal + its compression ring
Also the Final Drive Universal joint was replaced with a as-new one with less than 12,000 miles on it - its mint. (See the actual photo of it)
This and the below June service really proofs the bike now for a good 50 - 60,000 miles probably.
The special grease - EnDuraLast LUB477 - and the OEM long boot zip ties were used for the reassembly.
All parts from Motorworks UK
Its common for these shaft seals to develop a small leak with time and I noticed a slight leak before I parked up the R so had the mechanic look at it and got it all done. Ready for a new owner.
Got a new bike so the 1150 has been parked stored in a damp-proofed and carpeted garage on the optimate.

Lovely condition OEM R1150R
1130cc engine, Air & Oil cooled.
Rides flawlessly. Had a new clutch about 2,500 miles before I bought it two years ago and I've done I think 7,500 miles on it. Very well driven and diligently serviced - I do oils and filters at 3,000 miles, just actually love doing that sort of thing.
Journal of the service history + always garage kept (on carpet).
Very comfortable, fantastic brakes.
Full Service just done at 58,268
Photos are from last summer showing that mileage but its 58 now and the bikes just as clean. Even the collector box.
New 20Ah 230CCA Numax Battery last summer.
Have not ridden the bike since November 2025 except to now 4/06/26 for a test run so it has had a nice warm dry winter.
Service Just Done :
Engine Oil change (20W 50 Semi) 1500ppm Zinc
New EBC rear organic brake pads (Fronts are fine when serviced cleaned and checked)
Transmission Oil Change (75W-140)
Final Drive Oil Change (80W-90)
(All new copper crush washers)
Valve clearances checked and adjusted to the .30 and .15 spec.
Non-ABS model
Tyres are still good with about 7.5k miles on them.
120/70 and 170/60 ZR17'
Continental TrailAttack3
Overall great condition - one small dent on tank on the left but the silver kinda hides it.
Small mark on left oil cooler plastic cover - on the bottom. There's marks on the right HEED bar from very low speed [driveway] drops practicing tight U-turns. Found out I'm not a Japanese female police rider after all.
Very easy bike to move by hand although its a big bike its a lovely balanced bike to ride slow or swiftly.
The unique to BMW left/right switchgear is actually easy to get used to and makes sense.
Comes with the small OEM windscreen and BMW hard panniers; or the bike can be bought separately of either or both for less than the asking price.
HEED engine bars and a 12v plug-in axillary socket (cigar-lighter type) under the seat for the Optimate.
Everything works as it should.
Heated grips are class.
Good paperwork, Two original sets of keys.
Genuine sale, any viewing welcome Sensible offers please. No swaps Thanks
Great bike and really well looked after. Safe travels.
