2015 Dacia Duster Engine Issue
This is a great machine that unfortunately after a thorough service and deep look, we discovered has a cracked O-ring on a piston in the engine.
The engine will likely need to be replaced.
This is being listed more than likely 'for parts'.
But there are plenty of good parts in good condition here.
As part of the deep service to find the problem, the injectors were all fully reconditioned at a cost of 650.
The car was running great until we encountered the problem. Clean under the bonnet and throughout. Bodywork in good shape. Tires in good shape.
Other parts that are interesting are the JEEP grille, which gives it a unique look.
I reckon there is a lot of scrap/salvage in this OR if you can find an engine to drop in .. a reliable car for years to come. We were given an estimate of 600-700 euro.
The car starts, drives, but sounds like a tractor engine and I would not trust this on the road for long distances. Ideally, it would be taken on a truck or towed.
