Alright guys, I honestly thought this day will never come. It didn’t even need to come, but life happens, plans change and here we are. This is not a forced sale or anything wrong with the car — it’s just time for me to move on.

Here I’ll just write the main things that matter so the new buyer can understand what has been done and to what extent, without making it too long or boring.


I bought the car in July 2023. The first proper engine start after the full rebuild was in December 2025. So this is basically a 2.5 year project, done slowly, properly, no shortcuts.

Drivetrain & Gearbox

This is an E92 335d with a ZF 8HP70 from an F10 330d retrofitted using CANTCU. All wiring and conversion was done by myself. No cutting, no bodging, everything fits like OEM.

• Gearbox serviced with ZF kit (pan, filter, oil, seals)
• Adapter plate installed, bolt in
• F10 shifter retrofitted
• Custom braided oil cooler lines (Moto Stone Motorsport)
• Drives and shifts exactly like OEM, smooth and fast
• Pretty much 1 of 1 in Ireland with this setup

Plan was 500hp but I’m still in break in stage and making sure everything is 100% before tuning.

Engine — Full Rebuild
This is the 286hp M57 twin turbo 306D5 block, but everything inside it is basically new or reconditioned.

Engine work done by Martin Treacy.
• Head skimmed + vacuum tested
• 2 valves replaced
• Valve seats replaced
• Block honed (was perfect)
• Original BMW head gasket + bolts
• Original BMW timing chains + guides
• Original BMW oil pump
• Glyco bearings
• Mahle piston rings
• New glow plugs + controller
• New vacuum lines
• New boost solenoids
• New coolant hoses
• New thermostat
• New waterpump
• New belts + tensioners
• New corteco OE crankshaft pulley
• New rocker cover gasket
• New vacuum pump gasket
• New oil filter housing gasket
• New rear main seal
• New turbo oil feed + return lines
• New turbo manifold gaskets
• All copper nuts replaced

Fuel System
• R90 pump reconditioned + tuned for 500hp (Łukasz Pałetko)
• Modified piping
• M50d 2700 bar sensor
• Injectors tested in DES Cavan — perfect, with printouts

Turbos
• Big turbo: hybrid, much bigger, built by Łukasz Pałetko
• Small turbo: reconditioned (hybrid small turbo only adds lag)
• All hoses, O rings, copper washers replaced

Intake & Exhaust
• Wagner EVO3 intercooler (183% more volume)
• Custom bigger intake elbow
• Downpipe fitted
• Original DPF included
• New EGT sensor
• EGR + swirl flaps deleted (FMIC.eu kit)
• Exhaust painted, new gaskets, new copper nuts

Alternator, AC, Starter
• Alternator reconditioned (Trevor Shirley)
• AC compressor rebuilt (new bearing + pulley)
• Brand new Bosch starter installed
• Old starter included (works, my mistake during rebuild)

Electrical
• 105Ah AGM battery installed September 2025
• Properly coded and registered

Suspension, Steering, Brakes
• Inner + outer tie rods (Lemförder)
• Rear wheel speed sensor (ATE OEM)
• Front left sensor on the way — will be replaced
• Fresh brake fluid
• Fresh diff fluid
• Fresh gearbox fluid
• New guibo
• New gearbox mount
• New propshaft bolts
• Alignment done

I planned Bilstein B16 DampTronic but life changed direction.

Interior — Full Black Conversion

Car was originally beige. I hated it. So I stripped the whole interior to bare metal and converted everything to OEM black:
• Carpet
• Dashboard
• Door cards
• Centre console
• Pillars
• Headliner
• Seatbelts
• All trims

Seats are still beige because they are rare full electric + heated + lumbar + bolster. Finding these in black is almost impossible. Best option: dye or re trim.

Sound Deadening
Over €600 worth of materials: Vibrofiltr, ST MAT, acoustic felt. Some areas have 4 layers. Took me 2 months. Car is way quieter and more refined.

Electronics & Multimedia
• Custom amplifier wiring front to boot
• Reverse camera installed — works like OEM
• Android Auto MMI box installed + integrated with original radio
• Microphone in headliner
• Ambient lighting upgraded to RGB strips that fit OEM channels (Bluetooth app)

Spare Modules
Car comes with:
• Spare JBE
• Spare CAS

Whole car updated to latest ISTA P firmware versions.

Money Spent
• €9,233.83 in receipts
• €3,503.59 in work without receipts Total: €12,737.42 Not counting my own labour — thousands of hours.

NCT & Legal
• Latest NCT: 18/04/2026, valid until March 2027
• Road tax: €790

Detailing

Car was polished on 23. Of May with ceramic coating paid 150 eur.

Current State:

Car is on stage 2 tune right now around 400hp 800nm

If I was continuing the project, I’d:
• Add insulation to bonnet + undertray
• Dye or re trim seats
• Install Bilstein B16 DampTronic

Engine, drivetrain, wiring, multimedia — all done. Nothing else needed.

Final Words

I know it’s an old car, but this is not your normal 335d. Anyone who understands M57, hybrid turbos, R90 pumps, 8HP70 swaps, CANTCU, full interior conversions, ISTA P updates — they will know exactly how rare this build is.

Also car is coming with roof bars & roof box !
