Audi A4 2003 Quattro Avant 1.9TDI 6 speed (rare)
Reluctant sale as I cannot afford to keep four cars running, and importing this vehicle into the Republic from UK is a pain.
UK (mainland) vehicle (registered as exported but not imported)
I've owned the car for over 8 years. No expense spared on servicing for yearly MOTs. Has been a reliable work horse and the six gears make motorway driving very comfortable and economical. Last jobs were new rear callipers, and disks and pads all round.
Three buying options for the next owner:
1) Buy as-is (requires you to do some work to make roadworthy; read below)
2) Buy with work carried out by myself before you take it away
3) I'll break the car down into parts (really don't want to)
Obvious jobs required to get it road-worthy:
1) ABS ring on rear passenger side driveshaft (simple job; I have the driveshaft already)
2) Front arches - common problem - easy fibreglass and spray repair
3) Fit new bulbs as I've taken loads for other vehicles.
I know of no other jobs required to have this back on the road. I cannot justify doing these jobs if nobody is interested in the car.
Nice to have jobs:
1) Roof liner has been (annoyingly) stapled by a previous garage. Fitting a new liner is a long but simple enough task. I just haven't gotten around to it.
2) Glove compartment handle is missing (was like this since I've owned it)
Prices to buy:
Option #1: 800 EUR take it away as it is.
Option #2: 1300 EUR and I'll fix the wings, fit the new ABS ring and do the bulbs.
Option #3: Price per part - message and I'll add you to a list of interested people should the car not sell.
The car has been registered as 'exported' with the UK, but never imported to Ireland, so essentially it's in limbo.
