Vango Family Shelter - Amazing Tarpaulin & King Pole

Vango Family Shelter - Amazing Tarpaulin & King Pole Vango Family Shelter - Amazing Tarpaulin & King Pole Camping Equipment

Brilliant piece of kit to have!

So handy to have in the rainy weather as you can still sit outside and fab when you'd like some shade.

Easy to put up and take down - takes only minutes. Have done it by myself with no probs (am 5 ft 6) but its easiest to have a second pair of hands, even a small pair, just to hold it in case its windy 😀

Only selling as I got an air gazebo thing.

In perfect condition, as new.

Have 2 extra King Poles for sale that I used with it - help make it even more adjustable.

Collection only in Newbridge.

Have added pics of the shelter at the front of an Outwell Parkdale 6pa. Just the shelter for sale.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

@Rwallace13 hi there thank you very much for your offer, I'd need closer to the asking for the shelter I'm afraid.

For the additional poles, I'll add another advert with pics. All poles in perfect as new condition, barring the plastic piece on the base of one pole which I have a fix for.

@Rwallace13 yes, in each case, two are positioned so they can be put in an optimal way depending on conditions.

When they are pegged out, they pull against each other so the pole is steady.

There are review videos online - Atwoolls and Getting Out With The Kids - which may be helpful.

So am i correct in saying it's the guy lines keeping the pole firmly in place?

@Rwallace13 so the bottom of the pole that comes with is flat against the ground. The top of the pole comes to a point and that part slots into a hole in the shelter. Then two guy lines either side secure it.
You're right - they need to be v secure and taut. Easy to do with the guy lines.
Having the extra poles helps - i bought an extra set for €40 - 3 poles total is a nice set up. I can do a deal for you if you're interested.

How does the rigid pole work? Does it need hammering into the ground? I'd imagine it needs to be pretty secure.

@Rwallace13 hi there yes it can fit any tent - I have a large 6 person inflatable and its sits lovely over the top.
Its pegged to the sides and the front so it is v adjustable.

Even would work on a smaller tent but would cover sides too if the tent wasn't so wide.

Found it so handy for sitting out at meal times since its longer than Outwell's one - means you don't get wey even if its v wet!

Is this a universally fitting kind of thing so you know? I have a big Vango tent similar to the one in the photo.
