Hi, I'm very interested in the T4 and it looks like it could be what I'm looking for. Before I travel down to view it, could I ask you a few questions?

Can you confirm it is registered as a campervan/motor caravan on the VRC? Could you send me a photo of the VRC with your personal details covered?

What is the registration number and VIN/chassis number?

The mileage is 230,250 miles (approximately 370,000 km). Do you have service history and receipts covering the mileage and maintenance?

Has the engine ever been rebuilt or replaced? If so, when and at what mileage?

Has the gearbox ever been replaced or rebuilt?

When was the clutch last replaced?

When were the timing belt and water pump last replaced?

Has the van had any significant rust repairs or welding underneath, on the sills, chassis, wheel arches or around the sliding door?

Regarding the rust around the front window, has the windscreen ever been removed and the rust properly repaired, or is the rust underneath/around the windscreen seal? How extensive is it?

Is there any rust around the pop-top, roof or roof mechanism?

Has the van ever had any water ingress or damp, particularly around the windscreen, windows, pop-top or floor?

Does the pop-top open and close properly and is it watertight?

Are all the camper facilities working properly — sink, water pump, 2-ring hob, cool box, diesel heater, underfloor heating, lights and leisure battery?

Is the gas system working properly and when was it last checked?

Does the diesel heater work properly?

Does the leisure battery charge correctly from both the engine and mains hookup?

Does the engine start easily from cold? Any smoke, overheating, oil leaks, coolant loss or unusual noises?

Does it drive properly with no steering problems, vibration, knocks or unusual noises?

When was the latest CVRT carried out? Were there any advisories or previous failures? Could you send me a copy/photo of the latest CVRT report?

You mention CVRT until January 2027 — what is the exact expiry date?

What is the current motor tax category and annual tax cost?

Has the van ever been involved in an accident or had major body repairs?

How long have you owned it and what is the reason for selling?

How many previous owners has it had?

Is everything shown in the advert included in the sale, including the roof box, roof bars, Fiamma awning/surround, ladder and bike rack?

What is the total height of the van with the pop-top closed, including the roof bars and roof box? If possible, could you actually measure it rather than estimate?

Would you be happy for me to have an independent mechanic inspect the van and put it on a ramp, particularly to check the chassis, underside and rust around the windscreen, before I purchase?

I'm a serious buyer and, assuming everything checks out, I'm happy to move quickly.

Thanks.

@robertog65: I don't know if it was sealed before I got it. There was no mention of rust from CVRT or mechanic and I can't see any rust except the bit by the windscreen.

Do you know is underneath sealed or is there any rust

@robertog65 Hi, timing belt was done at 205k, new brake discs in the back last year. So no issues that I know of, running well.

@kombucha54:
Sorry I missed your message.
I don’t think so though steering has never been difficult so it might have.
