Vintage 1000 W "Sun Gun" studio halogen light
A portable "sungun" halogen lamp or film/photography floodlight.
It is a continuous light source based on a high-wattage halogen bulb (typically 1000 W), powered directly from the 230V mains.
Metal barn doors: Adjustable top and bottom flaps allow for the control of the light beam's angle and spread.
The lamp features an integrated mounting rail with knobs at the bottom, designed to attach it directly to an analog movie camera (e.g., 8mm or Super 8) or a still camera.
Before the widespread adoption of LED lighting, these types of floodlights were standard equipment for both amateurs and professionals shooting indoors during the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.
