Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone

Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone Brass & Wind Instruments
€6,400

Rare chance to buy a top range vintage saxophone. Dating from 1969, this professional instrument has silver keys and is problem free. No dents, dings or structural issues. Cosmetically in very good shape.

I have owned this saxophone since the 1990s and it has been kept regulated, serviced and loved for many years. It has also seen decades of professional action and has been toured by saxophone legend Dave Liebman (who liked it!).

Comes with SKB shaped flight case (worth €130), Selmer Soloist (F opening) mouthpiece (worth €200 new).

Serious interest welcomed. Local testing available. Ready to ship internationally at buyer's expense.

Hi Sean, I'm in the market to upgrade my tenor and I saw your ad and very intrigued. I'd love to chat a bit about it and hopefully organise a to see/play it if you're open to that. I'm based in Kimmage. Shoot me a PM if you like.

Thanks Sean - apologies, I can't message you privately as there is no 'live offer'. That all sounds good and I would love to try it. The only complication is that I am going away this weekend for the month of June. I will check back on my return and if it is still available will look to arrange to play it - and hopefully it SINGS to me!

@citizen_shane Hi Shane, it's been serviced by David Grant (Drumcondra) who is super great for many years, just routine stuff, never had any drops etc. The instrument is super but I simply don't play tenor anymore. Moved to alto and these days usually clarinets. I never believed I'd ever sell it as it really was the centre point of my life for many years! Wiggle room is small but that's a conversation for when you might have tried it out and seen if it speaks to you!

Hi - this looks great. Can I ask who serviced it for you and why you're selling? And of course is there wriggle room in the price? It's a dream of mine to own & play the Mark VI, and as I am turning 50 soon maybe I deserve it!
