The backrest detaches completely so the base can be used as a standalone booster cushion, giving you years of extra use as your child grows. We actually bought two of these because we loved the model so much; selling this one now as my eldest has outgrown it.

Overall fairly good, durable, and structurally perfect. It has never let us down. There is a small cosmetic tear in the fabric over the left red seatbelt guide, as shown in pics.
