Mid-Century Danish Rosewood Modular Desk and Wall Unit by Poul Hundevad, 1960s
A striking and highly functional Danish rosewood wall system attributed to Poul Hundevad, dating to the 1960s. This beautifully balanced modular unit combines display, concealed storage and an integrated writing desk β making it a complete living room or home office statement piece. Crafted in richly figured rosewood, the grain is exceptional throughout, with dramatic book-matched veneers across the cabinet fronts and warm tonal variation that shifts beautifully in the light. The upper section features a glazed display cabinet to the left, open shelving in the center and a double-door cabinet to the right β ideal for books, ceramics, glassware or curated objects.
The central open section incorporates a practical writing desk with two drawers, offering a dedicated workspace without overwhelming the room. Below, twin lower cabinets provide generous concealed storage, all raised on elegant slim legs that give the piece a light architectural feel despite its substantial scale.

β¨ Restoration Details
This piece has been fully refinished by our team. The rosewood has been carefully stripped, hand-sanded through multiple grades, and finished with a French polish to enhance depth and protect the surface. All joints have been checked and secured where necessary, ensuring structural integrity throughout.
π Condition
Excellent vintage condition. The rosewood grain is vibrant and consistent across all sections. Glass panels are clean and intact. Doors and drawers operate smoothly. As with all vintage pieces, very minor age-related wear may be present but nothing that detracts from the overall presentation.
