When Jake Blues (John Belushi) released from prison goes, he and his brother Elwood (Dan Aykroyd) go to visit the orphanage where they grew up and was raised by nuns. They learn that the church withdrawn its support to the orphanage, and will sell if property taxes are paid in eleven days.
The brothers decide that they must scrape together money by collecting old blues band and tear of a gig. They might be on a "mission from God", but they get all the time new enemies.
