Jimmy Magee has been broadcasting for over 40 years (Book Published in 2000). He has commentated on every Olympic Games since Munich in 1972 as well as numerous Gaelic football, hurling, boxing, soccer, golf, tenpin bowling, athletics, basketball, hockey, and swimming events.
He has worked for RTE Radio and Television, BBC Radio, UTV, Sky Television, Channel4 and Europa Television. He wrote all of the questions for the popular quiz programme, Know Your Sport, and has written a column in the Sunday World every week since its launch in 1973.
Jimmy has co-owned a champion racehorse as well as a successful record lacel in addition to running the charitable Jimmy Magee All Stars who have raised over 2 million pounds in the 30 years they have been playing.

During his career, Jimmy has nearly come to blows with Nigel Benn, tuned down an opportunity to play at Agusta, playes on the same forward line as Christy Ring, been welcomed to Brazil by Pele himself and witnessed the 16-year-old Maradona play in the Argentinian First Division before his talents were apparent to the world.

Jimmy's story makes for entertaining reading, punctuated as it is with ancedotes and opinions.
